NOTICE:  BOARD SEAT VACANCY

 

 

The Freehold Township Board of Education is seeking candidates to fill a vacancy on the Board. The successful candidate will serve until December 31, 2022.  Candidates must meet the following qualifications:

 

  1. Shall be a citizen.
  2. Shall be a resident of the school district for at least one year immediately preceding the appointment.
  3. Shall be able to read and write.
  4. Shall be registered to vote in the school district.
  5. Is not disqualified as a voter pursuant to R.S. 19:4-1.

The Board of Education will accept applications until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2022.  Qualified candidates will be interviewed by the Board of Education on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 during the Board meeting.  The meeting will start at 6:30 PM with interviews to be held at the end of the meeting.  Candidates should arrive no later than 7:00 PM.

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP SCHOOL BOARD ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY INFORMATION

 

There will be 3 board seats up for election in the 2022-2023 school year (effective January 1, 2023).

 

Petitions for school board candidates are available by telephone or email request by contacting the County Clerk’s Elections office at 732-431-7790 or [email protected] Petitions are also available on the New Jersey School Board Association website, www.njsba.org. School Board petitions for the November School Election must be filed with the Clerk of Elections office located at 300 Halls Mill Road in Freehold no later than 4 pm on Monday, July 25.

 

As per N.J.S.A. 19:60-7, kindly certify to this office (using the enclosed form), the number of persons to be voted for at the November election beside each of these options provided. Please return the certification form by Tuesday, June 7, 2022 via email, [email protected] or fax, 732-409-4887.

 

The deadline to submit public questions for the November School Election is 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 9, 2022.
